Cookie Policy
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. This page explains which cookies Beacon uses, why, and how you can control them.
Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are essential for Beacon to function. They keep you logged in and maintain your session. They cannot be disabled.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| sb-* (auth) | Supabase | Keeps you logged in to your Beacon account | Session / 7 days |
| cookieyes-consent | CookieYes | Stores your cookie consent preferences | 1 year |
Analytics cookies
If you consent, we use Google Analytics on our public pages — the home page and these policy pages — to see which are visited and how people arrive. It does not run anywhere inside your account: once you are signed in, no analytics are loaded at all, so nothing you do with your records is measured or sent anywhere. Analytics cookies are only set after you have given consent.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes unique browsers using a randomly generated ID | 2 years |
| _ga_* | Google Analytics | Maintains session state | 2 years |
We do not use analytics data to identify individuals, and we do not link it to your Beacon account. It is not fully anonymous, though: Google Analytics assigns your browser a random identifier so returning visits can be recognised. Analytics data is processed by Google, which may involve transfer outside the UK. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
You can decline analytics cookies and Beacon will work exactly as normal.
Third-party cookies
The Tally form embedded on our waitlist page may set cookies from Tally.so when you interact with it. These are subject to Tally's privacy policy.
Other storage we use
Beacon also stores a small amount of information in your browser that is not technically a cookie, but which we think you should know about:
- Session data: used to keep you signed in securely between page loads. Cleared when you sign out.
- Interface preferences: small conveniences such as remembering which section you had open. These never leave your browser.
Our error monitoring provider, Sentry, does not set cookies or track you across sites. It only sends a diagnostic report when something goes wrong. See our Privacy Policy for what that report contains.
Managing your preferences
Most browsers also allow you to block or delete cookies in their settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from logging in to Beacon.
